Persistent symptoms of flank pain and leukocytosis led to follow-up imaging studies that revealed proximal ureter injury, and the patient underwent unilateral nephrectomy.This case stresses the importance of clinical suspicion for genitourinary injuries in the presence of abdominal trauma.
